“TBK is always looking for ways to engage people,“ says Rabbi Laurence Kotok. Founded in 1848, TBK, Rochester’s first’s synagogue opens its doors wide to the community – to learn together, be together and grow together.

We offer small synagogue warmth… and large synagogue choices. At Temple B’rith Kodesh, our Reform Shabbat services are small and informal enough that you can feel at home. But they’re big enough that you can find someone who’s a lot like you. Our school is nationally recognized. Yet our class sizes are small. We have a Kollel for adult learning that offers dozens of classes, but it’s rare that classes feel crowded.

Saturday morning Torah study, Sisterhood, Brotherhood, singles and couples without children, Seniors and Social Action; services especially for babies and toddlers, youth groups and pre-K Sunday programs. Our families are diverse and our dues policy flexible. There’s a place for you here. Come see for your self.

High Holy Day Services for Every Jewish Child

What's on YOUR calendar on the morning of Saturday September 19th, 2009?

We hope you'll join us for Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year. If you have children in 3rd Grade or younger and do not belong to a synagogue, this invitation is especially for you!

At Temple B'rith Kodesh, we believe that every Jewish child should have the opportunity to attend High Holy Day Services. This year, Family Services will be held Saturday, September 19th at 9:00 am on Rosh Hashanah, and Monday September 28th at 9:00 am on Yom Kippur. The members of Temple B'rith Kodesh warmly welcome the families of every Jewish child at these services. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are a time for new beginnings; why not take this opportunity to celebrate with our Temple Family?

Please contact our office at 244-7060 or JMabb[at]tbk.org to reserve complimentary admission for one or both of these services. You'll experience songs, stories and prayers especially designed for families with children in 3rd Grade or younger.

With wishes for a sweet New Year,

Rabbi Larry Kotok
