WRJ/Sisterhood Open Board Meetings

For many years, WRJ/Sisterhood has had a policy of open board meetings. This means that every woman in WRJ/Sisterhood is welcome to attend our monthly meetings. By attending these meetings, you will get first hand information about our programs and projects, hear reports about WRJ/Sisterhood at the district level as well as the international level. You will also have the opportunity to partake in discussions about various issues in which we are involved. Our next meeting will be Monday October 25 at 7:30 pm. Hope to see you there!

WRJ/Sisterhood Off & Running

Women of Reform Judaism/TBK Sisterhood is off to a good start for our 118th year! Our first Open Board meeting will be held on Monday September 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Adult Lounge. All WRJ/Sisterhood members are invited to attend; it is a great opportunity to participate in the decision making process and to learn what is happening. The women of temple have always played a vital role in its activities and we are still filling many needs for now and the future of our community.

Thanks to all of you who have sent in your dues so promptly, and a special thanks to those who upgraded to a higher level. We look forward to welcoming you at our Paid-Up Member event on Monday September 27 - look for details in a separate article. Don't miss our own Judy Schwartz reporting on her trip to Kenya. If you have not sent in your dues just yet, please do so as soon as possible so you can join us for that evening.

Please watch for the exciting programs in the planning for the year ahead; there will be mid-day meetings as well as evening events and we will again co-sponsor two Kollel: Sunday Series sessions. Perhaps there is something we have not thought about that you would like for us to do...please tell us, by phone, by email, or in person when you see us at temple.

There are weekly programs that would welcome new participants: Mah Jongg players meet on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. and our Exercise Class will resume on September 13 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. (there is a minimal fee). Come join the fun!

L'Shana Tova.
May 5771 be a sweet and healthy year for us all.
