Youth Groups

For a less formal Jewish educational experience TBK has Youth Groups for students in Grades Four through Twelve. Youth professionals and Rabbis work with our youth in creating an exciting array of programs. TBK has three active youth groups: one for Grades four through six; one for grades seven and eight; and one for high school youth.

Confirmands Participate in Activities

Delegation09Through Dorothy M. Cohn Fund

Through the generosity of the Dorothy M. Cohn Fund, TBK is able to augment its 10th Grade Confirmation curriculum to include innovative social justice learning opportunities. This year was no exception - culminating in a delegation trip to meet area migrant farm workers. It was an unforgettable day of learning about an invisible population right here in Rochester, and what we as Jews can do to help. Thanks to our terrific 2009 Confirmands for their participation, and we look forward to providing enriching experiences like these to our incoming 2010 Confirmation class.

All 9th-12th graders are also welcome to sign up...
for a reading part in Tashlich - the informal service held by the creek where we symbolically let go of our wrongdoings by casting bread into the water - on Thursday September 8 after Rosh Hashanah services. You can also sign up for a part in the BRiKTY-led Yom Kippur afternoon family service on Saturday September 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
