TBK Teens Onstage!

Are you in grades 7-12?
Do you enjoy being in plays, or always wanted to try it out?

On Sunday February 12, from 12:00-2:00 p.m., join Rabbi Gutterman and Jodi Beckwith, an accomplished theater educator, to find out how you can bring your talents to the stage here at temple. We're going to put on a staged reading (that means you'll have scripts in hand; no memorizing necessary) of I Never Saw Another Butterfly, a play based on children's writing and poetry from the Terezin concentration camp.

Our rehearsal on February 12 will consist of theater games and an introduction to the play... subsequent rehearsals will be held on Sundays, March 18 and March 25 and Wednesday March 28 6:00 - 8:00 pm.

The final reading will be performed on Friday March 30 following our Shabbat service. So mark your calendars and join us on February 12; there will be parts for all interested students. For more information contact Rabbi Gutterman at 244-7060 ext. 227 or rabbigutterman[at]tbk.org.

Youth Groups

For a less formal Jewish educational experience TBK has Youth Groups for students in Grades Four through Twelve. Youth professionals and Rabbis work with our youth in creating an exciting array of programs. TBK has three active youth groups: one for Grades four through six; one for grades seven and eight; and one for high school youth.

Reform Jewish Teens Making a Difference
March 2 - 5, 2012

We are thrilled to announce that over the weekend of March 2-5 TBK will again be taking a group of our teens to Washington DC to participate in L'Taken, the Religious Action Center's renowned social justice program for Jewish high school students.

With other teens from Reform congregations across the country, our group will be focusing on putting Jewish values into practice in our world. Students will hear from experts both inside and outside the Jewish community who will cover different issue areas in a variety of interactive formats. If you're in our Confirmation program or an 11-12th grader, you'll be hearing from us about signing up!

We look forward to taking you to Washington where together, we will make a difference in the world. For more information about L'Taken, contact Rabbi Gutterman at 244-7060 ext. 227 or rabbigutterman[at]tbk.org.
