TBK TRAVELS THE WORLD
ISRAEL - JUNE 29 to JULY 9, 2020

From Rabbi Stein:

I am very pleased to announce that registration is now open for our TBK Family trip to Israel.  This intergenerational experience will take place from June 29 to July 9, 2020.  This will be an amazing trip that will include an exploration of all regions in the country;  learning about history, religion, and culture; experiencing fantastic natural beauty; and the chance to have personal interactions with a variety of people of different identities in Israel.

The trip is open to children and families as well as adults of all ages, and is open not only to TBK members but to friends and family of our members.  Modest scholarships are available for TBK members.

Please speak with me with any questions you have about the trip.  Even if you are not able to sign up immediately, please let me know of your interest if you haven’t already so that I can include you in future direct emails.

Follow this link: http://www.keshetisrael.co.il/groups/2252, which will give you the registration form (online or offline) as well as the latest version of the itinerary and all the information about pricing and payments.

I am excited about this extraordinary opportunity!  Please register for this trip of a lifetime!

In addition to opening registration for the Israel trip, I am delighted to announce a Save the Date.  Please mark your calendars as TBK travels to Morocco!  Trip dates are tentatively set for early October 2021.  Save the date and ask me for more information!

Parashat Shemot

The new Pharaoh does not remember Joseph, and makes the Israelites his slaves. Pharaoh then demands that all Israelite baby boys be killed at birth. Moses’ mother puts her son in a basket in the river, and he is saved by Pharaoh’s daughter. As an adult, Moses kills an Egyptian taskmaster who was beating an Israelite slave. Moses flees to Midian and marries Zipporah. God appears before Moses in a burning bush and tells him to free the Israelites from slavery. An apprehensive Moses returns to Egypt, where he and his brother Aaron demand that Pharaoh free the Israelite slaves. Pharaoh refuses, and God promises to punish him.
