The Rochester Kollel: The Temple B'rith Kodesh Center for LifeLong Jewish Exploration, in memory of Ida Dosberg DeLeeuw is deeply thankful to the Paul P. Dosberg Foundation for its generous support. The Rochester Kollel has been named to honor the memory of longtime resident, and member of Temple B'rith Kodesh, Ida Dosberg DeLeeuw.

In order to properly process your registration, we ask that you register at least two weeks prior to a class' start date. All registrants will receive a confirmation email with class dates and locations.

Join us in the TBK Adult Lounge for speakers and discussions on a variety of current topics. Coffee and bagels will be available at 9:30am. Program is 10:00am-12:00pm (unless otherwise noted)

Basic Judaism  

The Rochester Board of Rabbis invites you to participate in the Basic Judaism Course. Discover an in-depth introduction to Jewish beliefs and practices. The instructors are Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform Rabbis from the Rochester community. The class will meet for 7 sessions. David Orange will help guide the discussions and assist participants in creating connections with each other and with the materials. Participants must be sponsored by a Rabbi from the Rochester Board of Rabbis to enter the course.

Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm, in Room 106 at Temple B'rith Kodesh.

Class topics and dates are as follows:

3. Life Cycle Ceremonies - May 2
4. Jewish History - May 9
5. The Shoah - May 16
6. Zionism & Israel - May 23
7. The American Jewish Community - May 30
