With the disturbing and frightening events in Israel, it has been heartwarming to see so many people in the community, Jewish and non-Jewish, declare that they "Stand With Israel". Below are some resources you may find helpful as we all navigate this challenging situation.
Do You Need Someone to Talk To?
It is important that we are there for each other, support each other, and check in on people who might need our support.

- The Counseling Center at Jewish Family Services of Rochester has comprehensive and evidence-based counseling services for adults and children.

Sheba Medical Center is receiving significant numbers of wounded who are being treated in the emergency room, intensive care, general surgery, plastic surgery, and neurosurgery units. They are organizing blood donation drives and have opened a new Intensive Care Unit. Click here to donate.

NATAL – the Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center, is an apolitical organization providing multidisciplinary treatment and support to direct and indirect victims of trauma due to terror and war in Israel. They are looking for donations to aid in this work. Visit their website to donate

New Israel Fund was established more than 30 years ago to advance democracy and equality in Israel. NIF fights inequality, injustice, and extremism because they understand that justice is the precondition for a successful democracy and the only lasting road to peace. They are currently seeking donations for their Emergency Action Plan to meet needs in this moment of crisis. Funds donated will go to: basic care for most vulnerable groups, combating violent speech online, preventing intercommunal violence in mixed cities, and mental health and trauma counseling. - The Times of Israel - claims to have no partisan political affiliation and to be fair minded in its analysis.
- i24 News - i24 News broadcasts in English, French, and Arabic and aims to bring "unfiltered, unbiased, global news from where it happens".
- AL Monitor - Not Israeli, but does contain items from Israeli newspapers - as well as items from newspapers of other Middle Eastern countries. It is an interesting source of information about the region.
