Art with Sammi Sacks
Kindergarten through seventh grade will have the opportunity to participate in art class for four consecutive weeks where they will work on a cumulative project related specifically to their grade level curriculum.
Cooking
Kindergarten through seventh grade will participate in cooking and be involved with cooking a tasty treat related to a Jewish holiday.
Hebrew Through Movement with Madrichim
Hebrew Through Movement is a language acquisition strategy. Kindergarten through sixth grade will be introduced to Hebrew in a playful and meaningful way, learning Hebrew by hearing and responding to commands creating a positive first link between children and Hebrew.
Programming with Madrichim
Kindergarten through seventh grade will participate in different activities and programs related to Jewish history, holidays or values. These are created from start to finish entirely by students in twelfth grade with support from students in eighth through tenth grade.
Stories/Music/Prayers with Mike Miller
Kindergarten through third grade will listen to interactive stories, sing songs and recite prayers with Mr. Mike.
Prayer Prep with Gene Spiro
Fourth through seventh grade will learn the history and meaning behind the prayers they are learning in Hebrew school. They will also have the opportunity to practice chanting and leading the prayers.
Additional Opportunities
Religious School Shabbat
Throughout the year, each grade level will take part in leading a Friday night Shabbat service. All are welcome to gather before services for dinner and a chance to get to know other TKB families and members! Dinner at 5:15pm • Services at 6pm
Preschool Program
Sundays 9:30 - 10:30: 9/18, 11/13, 12/11, 2/5, 3/19 & 4/16
An opportunity for children ages 2 to 5 to be given an introduction to Jewish holidays and values through interactive stories, activities and crafts. (You do not need to be a member of Temple B’rith Kodesh to attend.)
